The Dalles, Oregon

Off shore from Riverfront Park, on The Columbia River in The Dalles, is a cluster of islands that offer amazing wildlife viewing and varying depths of water. It’s common to see Osprey, Blue Herons, Geese, Pelicans, Bald Eagles, Beavers, Carp, and if you’re lucky, Sturgeon. There is even a local Sea Lion that barks a beautiful OM.
West Mayer State Park – Rowena, Oregon
The West Mayer “Yoga Cove” is a beautiful alternative location for SUP Yoga classes on windy days. The cove is surrounded on 3 sides by trees and has a great view up The Gorge.
Abundant birds! Osprey, Herons, Egrets, Geese, Eagles, and lots of little birds too.
This spot is particularly sensitive to water levels. When the river is low, the cove is too shallow to paddle. Take advantage of this location when you see it on the schedule. You’ll love floating your yoga here!
